Genre: Historical Fiction

Summary:

The book is engaging, and I enjoyed reading it. Liesel Meminger is the protagonist, and her path changed when she lifted her first book, partially hidden in the snow. With the help of her accordion-playing foster father, she learns to read. However, her stolen titles may bring danger to her and those around her. Read soon to find out more!
I liked the way the author described the scene, and how the tale is narrated. I also enjoyed reading about how Liesel's personality grew throughout the story, and it was interesting to see her desire for books evolve as the novel went on.
